First semester wraps up with annual Dinos Opener track meet

The first U SPORTS wrestling rankings of the year came out this week and the Dinos womens program was once again ranked tops in the nation Calgary was ranked No 1 two times last season and nearly the whole year during the 202324 campaign showing just how dominant they have been in recent years Calgarys mens team checked in at No 3 in Canada in the first rankings of the year Although theyre routinely one of the top10 programs in Canada starting the year third is a noteworthy jump from recent years and a nod to the success longtime head coach Mitch Ostberg and assistant Carol Huynh have put in with the group After the break Calgary will return to the mat one more time Jan 1617 at Alberta before returning to Edmonton Feb 14 for this years Canada West Championships
